Associate of Science degree in Veterinary Technology

Upon completion of the two year Veterinary Technology Program at Yuba College and the additional general education classes, students will receive an Associate of Science degree in Veterinary Technology.

A Registered Veterinary Technician is a licensed individual who provides assistance to veterinarians in primary animal care, surgical nursing, anesthesiology, radiology, and nursing. Registered Veterinary Technicians are able to use their knowledge, skills and abilities to advance the cause of excellent medicine for animals of all species in a variety of settings. Employment is available in small animal hospitals, equine specialty practices, shelter management, education, research, wildlife and laboratory animal facilities.
